A few more second grade fish are finished.

Today Headstart studied lines. We talked about using line to draw things and where we see line in the world around us. The students then glued down 10 different sizes of line onto black paper.

Second grade students are reaching the point of cutting out and stuffing their pattern fish.

Work continues on K/1 Kandinsky circles.

The paper mache fish are coming along nicely.

The classroom gets very messy during production. The students are  doing an amazing job of cleaning up after themselves!

Fourth grade students began tracing their original drawing of a fish in preparation for transferring to water color paper.

Second graders have started drawing their big fish with pattern. These will be colored in with oil pastels, cut out double, stapled together, and stuffed with newspaper.

Today fifth grade students started forming their fish out of newspaper and cardboard. They shaped the body from newspaper and masking tape. They drew the fins and tails on cardboard which I cut out with a box cutter.
